The Junior Chefs' Academy

The fun never stops in Year 5! Yesterday the Junior Chefs' Academy came to our school and we learnt all about Greek cuisine. We were all given our very own chef's hat and apron and we were lead by Chef in making Souvlaki which is a Greek kebab. We were told all about how the Greek diet is based on simple foods such as fruits and vegatables such as grapes, tomatoes and peppers. We were shown how to zest a lemon, chop vegetables and also how to add seasoning and herbs. We then had to carefully place all of our ingredients onto the kebab skewers so that we could eat them later. They looked delicious!
