I think we've earned this weekend!

Wow! Q4 will sleep very well this weekend. What a week of learning it's been! 

We are still busy with four-digit numbers and can now round to 10, 100 and 1000. Not only that, but we can also find 1000 more or less for four-digit numbers. We have been looking at sequences of 7, 9, 25 and 1000 and have even been  solving some tricky word problems! 

We tucked into our new text and now know what all the fuss was about. Duncan has been working those crayons too hard. We used thesauruses to think of synonyms for how tired and angry they were. Some of the words we found included: livid, fragile, rickety, lethargic, frustrated, enraged... The list goes on. Some of us even included the word 'apoplectic' in our fact-files! (It means angry incase you didn't know) ;) 

If that wasn't enough, we started our new History topic 'The Romans'. We explored the legend of 'Romulus and Remus' and the story about the birth of Rome. We created some fantastic storyboards to depict the story. 

This week was also the first week of spellings! A huge well done to Abigail, Enola, Maddison, Matthew, Ruby, Sophie and Zach, who all scored 100%!! 

Our Star Badge Winner this week was Daigen, who has shown a fantastic attitude towards all aspects of learning. Daigen also earned the most Dojos along with Izzy. Well done to you both!
