Helping Others

At Queen's Park we are dedicated to helping others less fortunate than ourselves.

These pages will keep you updated on the work we do for charity.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our generous parents and carers. Without you, we would not be able to support others.

Macmillan Coffee Morning

We raised over £600 for such a worthwhile cause.

We had lots of fun, eating cake and chatting!

St Helens Rotary Club

St Helen's Rotary Club asked us to support the fight against Polio.  The children in Reception and KS1 planted bulbs on the front of school to support the fight against Polio.

African Children in Education

Sue Hayes, 66 and husband Ron, 68, started volunteering to help poor children in Tanzania in 2008.

They launched a charity called Africa’s Children in Education (ACE), which provides education and a better way of life for youngsters.

The couple, from Windle, have returned to Tanzania and also worked in Kenya, where they have helped to set up a new children’s home in 2010.

Their latest mission has seen a new school being built in Tanzania in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro which was opened in January last year. The school so far has 80 children and two classrooms.

A huge “thank you” to all the children in Queens Park for their brilliant fundraising efforts. Your gift of shoes has made such a difference to the pupils at Arise School. They are now “Ready for the Rainy Season!” when it arrives
