Would you save Wilbur the pig?

P5 have been reading Charlotte's Web as part of their English topic. Yesterday the children had to persuade Gabriella and Grace to either save Wilbur the pig or kill him, depending on which side they were stood on in conscience alley.

They children generated excellent arguments for and against. We even had comments about bacon, which tempted Grace.
