During this afternoon the class were taught all about British democracy, the government and the whole voting system. We even had pupils adopting a political party and presenting their manifesto. The afternoon concluded with a vote and the results were displayed on the board. I wonder if this may mirror the actual outcome on Friday morning.

Fish tank, by Mr Helsby

Date: 30th Apr 2015 @ 7:11pm

Today we set up our very own fish tank in class. Thanks to the Pets At Home visit we knew exactly what to do. First we placed the gravel into the bottom and then we placed some plants for decoration. Next, we filled the tank up with cold water but we remembered to treat the water with tap safe to ensure the water isn't poisonous to the fish. We then added the filter which will clean the water. Next week we will add some fish!

Busy Day, by Mr Warner

Date: 30th Apr 2015 @ 3:54pm

Well done to everyone in Year 4. Thanks to the parents for your fabulous support in helping the children learn their lines and assisting with costumes. Thanks to the support staff as well, creating props and making great adjustments during the final rehearsal.

But biggest thanks to the children for creating a wonderful performance. You should be extremely proud of yourselves.

First session after lunch was tennis and Mrs Walsh is really helping develop the children's skills. This week there was a particular focus on the backhand and the lesson ended in some small sided games.

Martial Arts, by Miss Hope

Date: 29th Apr 2015 @ 8:22pm

This week we had a special Martial Arts lesson. We worked in teams, learning to punch and kick safely. We were taught how to hold a punch bag and how to block the punches and kicks. We learnt to count to 5 in Japanese and counted in Japanese as we kicked and punched. We were so fast it was difficult for Miss Hope to take photographs. We really enjoyed our special lesson. Thank you for organising it Mrs Snee.
